On a hundred year old house, the painting is the easy part. The work is in the scraping, the sanding, the priming, and the patient handling of wood that has been through a lot. Skip that and the job fails in a couple of winters. It is also exactly the corner a cheap quote is cutting.
We have taken on restoration work in town, including the Edward L. Cleveland House here in Houlton. Old buildings are worth doing right.
